Semester/Intern Goals
In the middle of football season lifting will be difficult. Just going to endure the season and maintain a general lifting schedule. I will be trying to maintain my strength and conditioning base. After the season I will set my sights on a meet and get back on track.

Sunday Squat and Deadlift
Put on my briefs today and they have never been looser. Worked up to a max 5 which was a pathetic 395. Everything felt off, I was unstable in the hole and slow coming up. Deadlift went better, worked up to 425 bar weight and added 20 lbs of chain per set. My last set was 425 + 60 lbs of chain for a triple, not bad with almost no help from my briefs.

Raw Bench
I weighed myself and I am down to 186, I haven't been this light in over a year. I am going to start a bench cycle soon so I needed to max to dial in my percentages. Ended up at 335 which is down 50lbs from my best at about 205 body weight. After taking weight I dropped down to 275 and did 3 sets of 5 which is 82%. Moved on to some chest supported row and bent over row. Finished with shrugs and rear delt.

Deadlift
First blog in awhile. Went for a max 5 for raw conventional deadlift today, ended up with 200 kilos (440lbs). Not my all time best but I'm happy with that number considering I have not been pulling very much recently. Primary assistance I free squatted, took 315 for 8. Been incorporating single leg stuff into my lifting and I performed some single leg box squats with an 11 lb vest, 3 x 8 each leg (my left leg needs work). Now that I have identified an imbalance I can begin correcting it.

Raw box squat 410lbs x 5, reverse hypers, prowler pushes 10 x 30ish yard trips with 2 plates.

Saturday Bench
330x4, went for a 5th and got stuck 1 inch from lockout, frustrating. Assistance consisted of chest supported row, incline DB, and lat pull down. Even decided to do some pipe work at the end.

Modified Thursday
Normally I pull on Thursdays but my neck has been bothering me so I did some free squatting. Did 3 sets of 5 at 315lbs then 1 set of 3 at 365lbs. It has been forever since I free squatted that heavy. Then did some split squats, leg press and abs.

Wednesday Conditioning
4 120 yard sled trips with two 35's, 2 with three 35's. Finished with 12 50 yard jogs.
